Q: Do you have some type of measuring tape so that my daughter can get the right size and width for her children?

Unfortunately we do not have any measuring gauge available for children's feet. This is primarily due to our brands preferring you to have had their feet measured in a store prior to buying online.

The only thing I can suggest if you are really stuck is going by the rough growth guide. Each child grows about half a size every 3 to 4 months. Once the child gets past first shoes their width doesn't usually change. So if they are in an 'F' fitting, for example, they will usually stay in an 'F' fitting. It may vary from different styles, but we would be able to assist with that.

Rest assured, if you were to purchase shoes from us, and you felt they were not right that we do offer a 90-day returns policy.

Q: Would your extra wide shoes fit somebody with an unusually large instep?

Generally the extra wide fittings would be suitable in such instances. However, due to the variation of the different styles we suggest that you try a few different pairs. We do a "No Quibble 90-day" money back guarantee so there is no problem returning any that do not fit.

We suggest a lace up or Velcro fastening. Clarks do a Style called Sabre Team, which is Velcro also, Star Stride, Sabre Troop and Bravo Man, which are lace up, and very stylish, comfortable shoes.

Q: Is there a black safety-shoe you could recommend, with good gripping soles, without metal (i.e. toe caps) that would be soft and comfortable, yet sturdy?

All the footwear in our Mens Safety Boots Section under 'PSF Terrain' are non-metal and comfortable. There are three shoes in that range: 808nmt, 785nmp, & 946nmt (more of a trainer).

Q: Why do Chiropodists recommend Ecco and Rockport shoes?

Chiropodists often recommend Ecco and Rockport as they have arch supports to give aid and support.

The Ecco range also have a featured shock absorbing sole and heel construction.

They are leather lined to maintain healthy foot conditions and most of them have removable insoles should you need to remove them and insert your own inserts.

The Ecco range is also incredibly lightweight which is great for long periods of wear.
