You can find the roots of Timberland Pro back in Massachusetts, America in 1918. Nathan Swartz was the main creator of this huge company, who started his bootmaking career as an apprentice stitcher. WIth his own hands he learnt by himself how to cut, shape, stitch and create a boot that people would enjoy wearing. As he and his boot making career progressed his sons started too started in the footwear trade, paving the way to success by making shoes for leading manufactures.
In 1973, the Timberland name was born, boots was being manufactered, sold and further new styles including waterproof leather boots were created.
In 1998 they created the Timberland PRO series of "Workboots for the Professional". Jeffrey Swartz, stepped up to grow the company his grandfather started and the brand his father built, by turning Timberland into a twenty-first century example for socially responsible corporations around the world.
